1. Glass cleaning
Use a non-abrasive, soft cloth or sponge doused in soapy water to remove any marks that have formed on the glass. Try to ensure that as little of this soapy solution comes into contact with the aluminium frames.
2. Clear the crevices
Our bi-folding doors utilise aïrglide technology which makes opening and closing them incredibly easy. This freedom of movement can be sustained by using a cloth or vacuum nozzle to remove anything that builds up in any gaps over time.
3. Lubricate the track
“While other popular building materials like timber need frequent upkeep, aluminium can look after itself and stand firm against the elements “
For the bi-folding door to move as freely as it should the track also needs to be kept well lubricated. You can lubricate it every now and again with a silicone spray.
4. Inspect the hardware
There are several pieces of hardware affixed to aïr and you should occasionally inspect the handles, hinges etc. to check that they’re in good working order. If anything feels loose, get in touch with your Accredited Retailer for assistance.
